If you smell gas

   Get everyone out of the house now, pets too.

   On the way out, do not flip light switches, plug or unplug anything, light a flame or use a phone.

3. 3

   Once you are outside and away from the smell, call your gas company's emergency line or 911.

4. 4

   Stay out until the gas company or the fire department says it is safe to go back in.
